#3. New York Giants @ Green Bay Packers

Green Bay has won six straight games – it hasn’t lost since Aaron Rodgers’ comments in late November that he thought the team could “run the table” – capturing the NFC North Division title and clinching a playoff spot in Sunday night’s victory over the Lions in Detroit. In both 2007 and 2011, the Packers had beaten the Giants during the regular season – in NY, no less – before losing in the playoffs. But history doesn’t mean much as the fifth-seeded Giants (11-5) prepare for the fourth-seeded Packers (10-6) in an NFC Wild Card Game on Sunday at 4:40 p.m. ET.

The New York Giants head into Lambeau Field to take on the Green Bay Packers, who have been on a roll, winning six straight games to end the season.

The total has gone under in the Giants’ last three games against the Packers.

Nor is he anxious about the playoff incarnation of Giants quarterback Eli Manning striking down the Packers again – something Manning has done at Lambeau in each of his Super Bowl seasons. Manning is 2-0 while Rodgers is 2-2. So do not expect the Giants to go down easy as they hunt for another Super Bowl. The playoffs appeared to be out of reach, but Rodgers saw the team going in the right direction.

Meanwhile, defensive end Jason Pierre-Paul missed the last four games with a core muscle injury. Dallas is 4/1, Green Bay is 7/1, Pittsburgh is 8/1, Atlanta and Kansas City are 9/1, Seattle is 14/1, NY is 16/1, and Detroit, Houston, Miami and Oakland are all 66/1. The Giants finished the season 10-6, second in the NFC East.

“I want to say through the roof”, Collins said of the defense’s confidence.

Rodgers pushed himself into the MVP conversation with a string of sensational games down the stretch. “We need to focus on playing the game and preparing to win the game”.

But the Giants have changed, too, especially on defense.

The Giants have one of the league’s best secondaries. “I expected to play last week, but that didn’t happen so we’ll see.”. The Eagles’ Carson Wentz also gave them fits with his mobility during a Week 16 loss while they had more success against Dak Prescott and the Cowboys. It’s not all about them. “And they have big-time playmakers and good cover guys”. Already without Sam Shields in the secondary as well as Eddie Lacy and James Starks on the offensive side of the ball, it’s wonderful they’re still alive and in contention. Well, it will be Eli (not brother Peyton or farther Archie).

The Giants upset a 15-1 Green Bay team 37-20 as 8.5-point underdogs in the 2012 postseason en route to winning Super Bowl XLVI over the New England Patriots. Brett Favre, who’s numbers are lower because of his gunslinger tendencies to throw interceptions, has a postseason quarterback rating of 86. They were at their worst this year when top corners Quinten Rollins and Damarious Randall were hurt, and now both are again dealing with injuries.

“I just don’t know what more you would ask for”, star receiver Odell Beckham said in anticipation of his first playoff game. They picked up just one first down on each of their first two drives before kicking into gear in the second quarter.

Mike Holzberger, the owner of Connections Ticket Service at 115 W. Silver Spring in Milwaukee, said he has just as many people trying to get rid of their tickets as there are buyers.
