5.8 magnitude quake jolts parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Punjab

The Earthquake jolts have been felt in Pakistan for last few months regularly.

Saturday afternoon’ s tremors were felt in capital Islamabad and parts of east Punjab and northwest Khyber Pakhtunkhwa province.

No report of any casualty or damage to property has come so far from anywhere, an official of the provincial administration said.

A magnitude 6.7 quake struck northeast India on Monday, the U.S. Geological Survey said.

Pakistan is among the most earthquake-prone regions of the world with high vulnerability to earthquakes.

A 5.3-magnitude natural disaster shook northern Afghanistan Saturday, with tremors felt as far south as Kabul.

A pregnant woman was killed when a boulder fell on her house in Peshawar and up to 50 others were left injured in the northwestern Pakistani city.

This was the third natural disaster measuring over 5 magnitude that hit Pakistan over the past week.
