Online and in-store will draw almost equal amounts of traffic, as 84 percent of respondents plan to shop in-store over the holiday weekend and 87 percent plan to do so online.
“I also look at how often an item goes on sale, how high the discount is, and if it’s an item that people would be willing to take less of a discount on”, Burkowski explained.

Smartphones, online shopping and “sneak peek” discounting has changed Black Friday from the door-bustin’ shopping brawl of old to a more toned-down event, reshaping how retailers appeal to consumers on the day that still serves as the annual kick-off for the holiday shopping season.
Retailers need to get consumers excited enough about the deals to rouse them from turkey and stuffing stupors without working them into such a frenzy someone gets hurt.
With the institution growing on this side of the pond it is expected that shoppers will shell out an enormous £3billion bagging Black Friday bargains.
