There are undoubtedly those out there who would seek to ruine an experience of any fan who hasn’t been able to partake in Star Wars: The Force Awakens just yet.
A Montana man is accused of threatening to shoot a friend for posting a spoiler to the new “Star Wars” movie on Facebook. The much-anticipated seventh installment of the Star Wars series, titled”Star Wars: The Force Awakens” had its premiere on December 14, and was eventually released on Friday, December 18.
“The victim was afraid it was a legitimate threat“, Melissa Broch, deputy attorney for Lewis & Clark County, told Reuters. “The victim believed that the defendant might come to his school and harm him“.
Roy posed with a Colt 1911, noting its “hair trigger“, according to court documents.
The school was locked down last Friday as a result of the incident, the story said.
He remains in jail with his bail set at $US10,000 ($NZ14,600).
Prosecutors say Roy knowingly had sex with a 14-year-old girl.
Following this menacing exchange, the intended victim immediately contacted a school resource officer so as to alert him about his former friend’s murderous intentions.
His mother asked why her son was being arrested since it was only a BB gun in the photograph he sent, the documents said.
