Woodhead also caught three touchdown passes from Philip Rivers for his first career four-touchdown game. He scored on a 2-yard run and caught a 9-yard TD pass in the second quarter. Despite the bittersweet season, this was definitely icing on the cake for this team, this fan base, and these life-long Chargers players.
The Chargers visit Oakland on Thursday night still looking for their first victory against an AFC West rival this season. One of the best players ever to perform at his position got a curtain call when coach Mike McCoy called a time out and took out Philip Rivers, Malcom Floyd and Gates.
