Real Housewives of New Jersey Star Teresa Giudice Released from Prison

“While we’ve all watched Teresa’s life unfold on television, Turning the Tables will mark the first time we will hear all of Teresa’s incredible life story, including her recent stint in prison”, publisher Jennifer Bergstrom told People of Teresa Giudice’s tell-all memoir. She served her sentence at a minimum-security federal prison in Danbury, Connecticut, that was the inspiration behind the show Orange Is the New Black.

Giudice began her 15-month sentence in Danbury Jan. 5 after she pleaded guilty to multiple counts of fraud in 2014.

As for why Bravo / “The Real Housewives” wanted to document all of this, the answer should be fairly simple: Ratings.

Although her lawyer said she didn’t want any welcome home parties, there were enough cars and SUVs flowing in and out of their driveway to be considered a “party”.

While cameras will document her holiday return, it’s bittersweet at best – Joe reports for his prison time in the new year, a considerably longer stint of roughly four years. Teresa’s daughters also festively decorated the house with signs and Christmas decor, while Gia tweeted her joy over her mother’s arrival, writing, “welcome home”.

Joe Giudice is not a USA citizen. The judge agreed to stagger their prison sentences so one parent could look after their children.
