Pokemon-infused Wii U controller will reach the United States in March

December 27 01:18 2015

The special dedicated controller for “Pokken Tournament” looks to provide players with an authentic arcade experience through the use of the controller. This new controller is for the upcoming Wii U title “Pokken Tournament” and it’s a must-have for those who are eager to play the game. The controller is available for pre-order on Amazon and it will launch on March 18. This Wii U accessory will have a price tag of $25, which is particularly a good price for a controller. The customized official Wii U controller is open for the preorder right now. That means it won’t work with other Wii U games, similar to that of the Super Smash Bros.

If you’re a huge Pokemon fan, and you own the Nintendo Wii U, you might want to check out the awesome-looking Pokken Tournament Wii U controller from Hori. At the moment there are no other games that will function properly with the controller as per the Amazon description.

While the Pokken Tournament Pro Pad is scheduled for release on March 18, 2016, that is only in accordance to the Japanese release on Japanese Wii U, which is region-locked to prevent early access in outside markets (thanks, Nintendo). The decision to include auxiliary buttons next to the Start and Select buttons rather than on the controller’s shoulders, for example, seems like an odd rift with ergonomic design.
