Chapel Hill police have made additional arrests in the shooting death of 1-year-old Maleah Williams, according to Chief Chris Blue.
Local news outlets report 22-year-old Ramone Jamarr Alson and 23-year-old Pierre Je Bron Moore were arrested Monday and charged with first-degree murder.
Maleah Williams was shot in the head in the 700 block of Trinity Court at about 5:30 p.m. Friday and had been on life support at UNC Hospitals. Upon arrival, officers learned that shots had been fired from a vehicle that was leaving the complex. Maleah and other children were playing outside at the time of the incident, police said. He faces a first-degree murder charge.
Davis had a court appearance via video feed Monday, and he remains held in jail under a $650,000 bond.
“Shaquille Oneill Davis, 22, was arrested in connection with the shooting just before noon Sunday by the U.S. Marshals Joint Fugitive Task Force”, a Chapel Hill Police Department spokesperson said.
He is scheduled to appear in court again January 4th in relation to the December 25th shooting.
