“All Eyez On Me” Biopic Casts Tupac & Biggie

TMZ reports that Shipp, Jr. was offered the role by producer L.T. Hutton purely on looks alone.

Demetrius Shipp, seated, is shown on the set of “All Eyez on Me”.

All Eyez on Me” will cover the rise and fall of Shakur from his wild success as a rapper to his tragic murder in Las Vegas in 1996. According to Variety, the film has also cast Jamal Woolard to play Christopher “Notorious B.I.G”. This time around, the role will go to Demetrius Shipp, Jr., a man who has barely any acting experience – his only credited role is in the in-production made-for-TV movie #unlock’d – but who looks exactly like Pac. Woolard also portrayed Smalls in the 2009 biopic “Notorious“.

Director of “2 Fast 2 Furious” and “Boyz N The Hood“, John Singleton backed out on being the one to create the much-anticipated 2Pac biopic, “All Eyez On Me“.

Benny Boom, a music video and commercial director, is helming the project for Morgan Creek, which has been developing it for some years.

Woolard already knows a thing or two about bringing the dueling rappers’ stories to the big screen.

The new biopic has had trouble getting off the ground.
