– The 28-year-old grandson of former President Jimmy Carter has died, Carter said during his weekly Sunday school lecture.
Jeremy Carter apparently wasn’t feeling well Saturday, took a nap at his Georgia home, and when him mom Annette Carter hadn’t seen him for awhile she went to check on him. Jeremy’s mother tried to wake him, only to learn his heart had “quit beating”.
Church members described grandson Jeremy Carter as a great fun loving guy who visited his grandparents and attended church with them as often as he could.
“They were trying to keep his heart going and eventually, later in the night or the wee hours of [Sunday] morning, his heart stopped“, Shoulta told CNN. According to a CNN report Carter in a statement said, “My most recent MRI brain scan did not reveal any signs of the original cancer spots nor any new ones”.
His cause of death has not been released. “Life’s full of its ups and downs, and the Carters aren’t immune”.
Earlier this month, the 91-year-old Nobel peace laureate and global humanitarian disclosed that he appears to have been cured of cancer. Fortunately, with radiation treatment he was able to declare himself cancer free last August.
