Obamas return to vacation home after dinner

Another vacation, another ambitious reading list for President Barack Obama.

President Obama and the first family enjoyed another vacation day away from cameras in Honolulu, spending more than seven hours at a luau at the president’s longtime friend’s home. He will be the first sitting president to attend the trade show.

This is the 13th day of Obama’s annual holiday vacation with his family, which will be wrapping up this weekend. Last month it released information related to a NY sightseeing trip, a west coast political swing and a Martha’s Vineyard vacation (this one) that cost taxpayers more than $3 million. Of that total, at least $316,000 was for the Secret Service.

The documents were given to the conservative watchdog group Judicial Watch by a federal court.

As of December 2014, Obama had taken 161 vacation days.

$224,974.05 in accommodation expenses were paid to Cabana Girl, LLC and Paradise Luxury Rentals.

‘It seems our lawsuits finally got the attention of the Secret Service.

The known total expense to the American taxpayers thus far for all Obama travel is now $70,880,035.78. “It is easy to see why the Secret Service, reeling from its own scandals, covered up these outrageous expense numbers for just one of Obama’s luxury Christmas vacation”, said Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. The White House said the government appropriately funds expenses in line with past presidents.
