Tales of Berseria Coming to PS4 and PC in the West

January 02 22:03 2016

The latest in the series, Tales of Berseria will mark the end of Bandai Namco’s 20th Anniversary celebrations of the franchise, following the story of a pirate named Velvet. Players need to destroy these Aragami because they, in turn, are destroying the world. Velvet is apparently “the embodiment of darkness”, thanks to “festering anger and hatred after a traumatic experience three years prior”. To balance all this negativity, Velvet is accompanied by Laphicet, a young man “created in the image of “light”, and the two are guaranteed to engage in plenty of witty banter”.

While not as successful as Final Fantasy, The Tales games have had a good amount of success. The TALES OF franchise’s history of memorable characters, engaging battle systems, and personal stories will continue to delight fans on PlayStation 4 and PC Digital.

In the “Tales of Berseria“, players get to play the game as a pirate who fights against warriors that have lost their ability to feel like a human, since they battled against other monsters.

According to the press release, the game’s world will be set in “a kingdom made of continents and countless archipelagoes” with advanced sailing technologies that are shown in the trailer embedded above. This brings a lot of joy to PlayStation users, considering that the Monster Hunter series was switched to Nintendo, leaving Sony-user fans of said series behind.
