On Saturday players of the Powerball have the chance to win a jackpot worth $334 million which has a cash value of $205 million.

“Part of the excitement of playing the lottery is just dreaming what you’d do with that kind of money”, said John Crow with the Georgia Lottery.

Mega Millions draws on Tuesdays and Fridays at 11 p.m. The odds of winning the jackpot with a $1 ticket are 1 in 258.9 million. The biggest individual victor is Iris Jeffrey, from Belfast, who won £20.1 million in 2004.

That was a $399.4 million prize won in 2013 by someone from SC.

Iowa Lottery spokesman Kevin Kirkpatrick says Powerball’s largest jackpot was more than $590 million in May 2013.

The last time a jackpot in the game reached this high was back in February 2015, when three winning tickets split a grand prize of $564 million.

This lottery hopeful was not among the big winners in Wednesday’s Powerball drawing.

Wednesday’s estimated jackpot is $400 million, with a lump sum payment of $244.8 million before taxes.

Patel’s store sold a $15 million winning Florida Lotto ticket a year ago that went unclaimed by the six-month expiration in October. The game can be played in 44 states, Washington, D.C., Puerto Rico, and the US Virgin Islands.
