TCU leaves Oregon stunned after Alamo Bowl comeback

The game will all but certainly go down as one of the greater moments in TCU football’s storied history. After accumulating just 142 yards in the first half, the Frogs offense started clicking, racking up 159 yards in the third quarter alone.

“Nobody had any doubt we’d come back from 31 points“, Kohlhausen said. “Their quarterback out, get a couple scores, nobody had any doubt”. Heck, even a blocked OR punt went against TCU.

Pellum’s iffy job security: TCU’s remarkable comeback wasn’t the best news for OR defensive coordinator Don Kellum, whose shaky unit had already given up more points than any Duck defense in the 120-season history of the program.

Given the way OR played in the second half of the season, and given the absence of Boykin and Doctson, a runaway Ducks victory seemed like a reasonable result to expect.
