Dating Site for White People Whitepeoplemeet.com Puts up Billboards in Utah

There are Web sites that are geared towards every race, sexual orientation, religion and social class under the sun, what’s so controversial about a dating site created specifically for heterosexual white people?

Facebook user Joseph Takacs commented “You already “Filter” when searching on any dating site based on preference of height, body type, hair color, race etc. This just removes one filter setting from the search”. So again, why not ‘Where White People Meet.

The Salt Lake City tribune says most of its members, less than a hundred have only joined in recent days.

The question naturally arises, can anyone join? We want our dating forum to be simple and cheap with the ability to connect like minded people in a non discriminatory fashion.

I’m Hispanic and I find nothing offensive or racist about WhereWhitePeopleMeet.Com, the beauty of the Internet is that you can find anything online, including a Web site that will meet with your approval. As of Saturday morning, the site had just under 300 subscribers.

The Tribune notes that although gay searches are prohibited on WhereWhitePeopleMeet.com, the site appears to allow users who are married, and lists no policy related to polyamory or polygamy. “I thought we were a little past that”.

When asked by Fox 13 News, many Utah residents were not happy about the billboard and even spoke out against it. So you’re going to put up billboards here so you can meet other white singles?

Kayla Lemmon said she is opposed to the idea of dating sites aimed at a single race. “I don’t think we should have a dating site with only one race”.
