Eric Bledsoe to miss rest of National Basketball Association season after having knee surgery

As the diagnosis was announced, many reports said Bledsoe was expected to miss “extended time” with the injury. And now, Phoenix will be without leading scorer and top playmaker Eric Bledsoe for the foreseeable future as he tore his meniscus in his left knee against the Sixers. He was averaging career highs of 20.4 points, 6.1 assists and 2.0 steals in 31 games this season for Phoenix. Bledsoe had surgery to fix a torn meniscus in his right knee as a member of the Los Angeles Clippers in 2011. He was serving the first of a two-game suspension levied by the Suns for throwing a towel at Hornacek during the Suns loss to Denver on Wednesday night. With Brandon Knight now the sole playmaker, the team may finally get a coherent offensive identity as well, something they have lacked in recent years with their failed dual-point guard experiments.

The Suns said in a statement that Bledsoe’ prognosis “is for a return to full playing status for the start of training camp next fall”.

“I don’t know what the fan base will have out there, but I know there will be a few people out there from Arizona, so it will be good to see them”, McConnell said.

Smith averaged 2 points and 0.7 assists in 27 games with Memphis and New Orleans. And, should Phoenix not break out of its slump (it’s lost four in a row SU/ATS, and is 12-20 SU and 13-19 ATS this season), then Hornacek will be handed his walking papers, as well.

The last time the Philadelphia 76ers won on the road was March 29 this year, a brutal stretch the covers 23 games including 18 straight this season.

Eric Bledsoe injured his knee Saturday and will now will miss the rest of the season. “It will give some of these guys more opportunity to play and get better, some of our young guys and that will be good for them”.

Longabardi was the Suns’ lead defensive coach. From owner to general manager to coach to players to, sadly, the squad’s sidelined point guard.

From the coach to the small forward to Ronnie Price, they all agree that the team just needs to get out of their own heads and play. “I thought we came out and didn’t respect them the way they’re supposed to be respected as a pro team“, veteran power forward David West told reporters.
