The reporter behind al-Jazeera’s investigation that linked Peyton Manning to human growth hormone again defended her team’s report Sunday, telling CNN it had a second source who corroborated the allegations made against Manning and his wife.
“What you didn’t know until now, is that we had a second source, absolutely impeccably placed, knowledgeable and credible, who confirmed exactly what Charlie Sly said“, Davies said, via Deadspin.
“Today” show co-host Savannah Guthrie pressed Davies, saying that the documentary attempted to “suggest something larger” about Peyton Manning possibly using a substance that is banned by the National Football League and severely restricted under law.
“Knowing Peyton Manning and everything he stands for, the Denver Broncos support him 100 percent”, the team said.
“Yeah, I probably will [sue]”.
In an interview with ESPN, Manning said. And that stings me whoever this guy is insinuating that I cut corners, I broke National Football League rules in order to get healthy. “It’s a joke. It’s a freaking joke”. They went with me and thought it might help.
Manning said he was disgusted he had to take time off from his throwing session inside the Broncos’ field house to address this story. I don’t understand that.
Both Manning and Fleischer said a decision to file a lawsuit against Al Jazeera America wouldn’t happen until after the season.

Manning said he’s had a good week of work without the soreness that developed in his injured foot last week and hopes to return to practice next week. Based on public records, it was discovered that Sly had interned at an Indiana-based licensed pharmacy from 2010 until 2013.
“What we said in the program is very clear: Charlie Sly worked at The Guyer Institute”, she added.
Al-Jazeera has now released a phone call which it claims discredits that statement.
The attorney for Phillies slugger Ryan Howard said his client will fight claims made in the Al Jazeera report that his client received performance-enhancing drugs.
