Bill Clinton Dodges Questions About Trump From Reporters in New Hampshire

A woman asked her last month about Juanita Broaddrick, Kathleen Willey and Paula Jones, women who have accused Bill Clinton of sexual impropriety.

“I’ve adopted a New Year’s resolution”, Clinton said when a man asked her what she thought about Trump’s claim that she and President Barack Obama created ISIS.

At a rally Monday afternoon at the Davenport fairgrounds, Clinton argued the economy performs better under Democratic presidents than under Republican ones, and pointed out both of the Democratic presidents of the last 35 years took over in economic recessions begun during Republican administrations.

Bill Clinton made his speaking debut on the 2016 campaign trail Monday by telling voters about the softer side of his wife, Democratic presidential front-runner Hillary Clinton.

After Trump resurrected the sex scandals that rocked Bill Clinton’s presidency, conservatives have voiced similar sentiments against his wife, aiming to tar her credibility on gender issues and divert her support from women. Trump, who has called Bill Clinton “sexist” and “one of the great woman abusers of all time“, tweeted on Sunday, “The worst thing Hillary could do is have her husband campaign for her. Just watch”.

Not many gymnasiums can hang signs that say, “Welcome back President Clinton”. On Monday, he heads out for his first solo campaign events, with stops planned in New Hampshire — a key primary state that gave much-needed momentum to his struggling 1992 presidential bid.

Citing the local fire marshall, Clinton’s campaign said about 720 people attended the event.

Trump is also campaigning in New England.

Mr Trump’s outburst follows earlier comments against Mr Clinton, saying he had a “penchant for sexism”.

Republicans in Congress tried but failed in 1998 to remove Bill Clinton from the White House for alleged perjury and obstruction during an investigation into an alleged affair.

“I think this election is about restoring broadly shared prosperity, rebuilding the middle class”, Clinton said.

“I remember Bernie Sanders, when they took over his microphone”, Trump said.

Mr Clinton often jokes about having lost the campaigning skills he once had, but he’s still sharp and works rope lines until each and every well-wisher has gotten a handshake and a selfie.

According to her husband, Hillary Clinton is the only candidate with the “knowledge, experience, or temperament” to actually accomplish her campaign promises.

He did not, however, reference his own tenure in the Oval Office or respond to attacks from GOP frontrunner Donald Trump.
