In addition to showing off two new Gear S2 classic models this week, this cross-platform play is another good hit for Samsung in their play for keeping Tizen a viable place for developers to create apps and smart experiences. A bunch of new bespoke wristbands, too, will make your Gear S2 look more fancy.
Samsung’s Gear S2 Classic smartwatch is soon coming in two new colours: rose gold, and platinum.
The Samsung Gear S2 has garnered many positive reviews, mostly lauding the design of user interface (which uses a rotating bezel and is more similar to the Apple Watch than Android Wear) and the overall styling. “In 2016, we will continue to raise the bar, so that we can deliver products that our customers want most”. You can find CNN, Bloomberg, eBay, ESPN, Uber and Voxer are some of the apps now available on the Gear S2.
When the original Samsung Gear S2 smartwatch was revealed, it wasn’t prepared for the full collection of smartphones on the market. Samsung has partnered with exclusive designers, such as Colombo, on premium watch straps for the Gear S2, and has introduced fun and creative watch faces including Peanuts characters and artworks from Keith Haring, Jean-Michael Basquiat, Jeremyville and Burton Morris. Internationally, Samsung will pair the rose gold S2 with an ivory leather band and the platinum with a black leather band, and will start sales in February.
