Governor says he won’t pardon men featured in ‘Making a Murderer’ show

The new Netflix documentary series Making a Murderer has captivated the nation, with hordes of citizens now trying to get Steven Avery and Brendan Dassey released from prison.

Dassey was arrested at the age of 16 in connection with case, but his attorneys maintain his confession was coerced.

The threatening emails to Katz and the records requests aren’t the only signs that “Making a Murderer“, 10 years in the making, has gripped the public imagination and inflamed passionate feelings. “This was a six week trial, and there were hundreds of pieces of evidence”, says Bellin.

While Steven Avery had been a suspect from the start, he is now claiming to believe that the crime might have been committed by one of his two brothers. “A lot of times, it’s attached to a report if there’s a report on it”, Hermann said.

His defense attorneys are now Internet heartthrobs.
