As of now, watchOS 2.2 beta is only available for developers, it will be rolled out to regular users very soon, similarly iOS 9.3 beta. They’ve also added in new features aimed at educators that use their iOS devices in the classroom.
The massive iOS 9.3 update includes small performance tweaks and app upgrades, along with a new feature called Night Shift.
Students have access to all of their apps, books, and documents when logging on, and for a student that uses the same assigned iPad in a class each day, an intelligent caching system keeps all of their content at the ready.
The new feature could be a boon for parents in the United States, who are often ludicrously required to buy an iPad for their children, which replaces textbooks and is retained by the school. The app can be used for screen sharing to help students out when they need it or to lock students out of specific apps when they’re not supposed to be using them.
Apple already has a similar app – albeit working in the opposite direction. The biggest is the new Nearby feature in Maps.
Apple didn’t immediately respond to a request for information about when iOS 9.3 will be released to users. No word yet from Apple if it is making a Move To Android app. Check out all the upcoming features of iOS 9.3 below. You’ll also be able to view the app in landscape on an iPhone.
The News app is also getting some changes as you will now notice a For You section, which personalizes the stories basesd on your interests. It’s unknown why exactly the average person would want to link multiple Watches to an iPhone, but it could be a feature that is beneficial to developers. If you like the idea that Apple will make transferring data to Android easier, you’d better hope that you live in the EU.
A huge release for education customers, iOS 9.3 first adds a long-requested multi-user mode to the iPad. According to the Telegraph, Apple “privately agreed to develop a simple tool” for people looking to switch.
