Dele Alli will more than double his wage to about £30,000-a-week as a reward for his rise at Tottenham Hotspur after he signed a new contract until 2021.
In an impressive first season with the club, the 19-year-old has made 26 appearances and has scored five goals, while also racking up three assists.
The north London outfit earlier today announced that the English worldwide has signed a new contract with the club, which will keep him at White Hart Lane until 2021.
“Now he’s an global and he plays consistently for the first team. He deserves all he takes now”. For me, Dele Alli is important too but for me the most important thing is the collective, the squad, the spirit.
“When you have a very good player with enough quality to play, you can achieve what you want”.
Alli highlighted that it was important for him that he moved to a club with similar philosophy to that of his former club MK Dons.
“There have been a lot of rumours about us from the beginning of the season”.
He said: ‘Our supporters need to understand we are in a project that is different at different clubs.
With FA Cup and Europa League campaigns still going strong, Pochettino added: “For me, all the players are important”. The Reds waved goodbye to Steven Gerrard in the summer following one of the most glittered careers we have seen in England.
“That helps you with your confidence and you can focus on the football, and that’s obviously important as a young footballer moving away because it can be quite scary at times”. That player will come, but if he doesn’t it’s not a big worry for me. “Thankfully, I’ve broken in the team, shown people what I can do and established myself as a Premier League player”.
