In the meantime, gamers who are hungry for “Pokemon” content have to make do with the upcoming release of the “Pokken Tournament” for the Wii U platform.
Shortly after the Chandelure in Pokken Tournament announcement, four new support Pokemon were revealed. A trailer should debut on January 31 at Tokaigi 2016. Fans can look forward to that date to see Chandelure in action. At a distance, the game is target-based where players will roam around the arena and attempt to engage their opponent’s peppered attacks or projectiles, nearly equivalent to Bandai Namco and CyberConnect2’s Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm series.
The Pokken Tournament official Japanese website has confirmed that Pokken Tournament Wii U will include a single player mode called Single Battle, complete with three different difficulty levels. Pokemon will even appear in a Super Bowl commercial.
Pokkén Tournament will arrive in the west on Wii U sometime in the spring. One player uses the Gamepad, viewing the game from the built-in screen, and the other player uses a controller and the TV screen.
