Cardinals’ win earns best Saturday night divisional rating

January 18 20:02 2016

The Panthers topped the Seattle Seahawks, 31-24, on Sunday to advance to a conference championship game for the first time since losing the NFC title to the Seahawks in 2006.

The Broncos are coming off a 23-16 home win over the Pittsburgh Steelers on Sunday afternoon, with Manning returning to the starting role for the team while throwing for just 222 yards with no touchdown strikes.

Arizona’s quarterback threw for 74 yards on 8-of-14 passing in the first half and has two interceptions in the second. The Patriots scored on the opening drive of the game and dictated the pace throughout the majority of their 27-20 victory over the Kansas City Chiefs. That’s not going to be easy, though, and it should be one heck of a game next weekend.

If the Panthers win, the Cardinals will have to travel to Charlotte for the NFC championship game and a chance to play in Super Bowl 50.

In the AFC we have the best matchup ever two future hall-of-famers Manning vs. Brady which is the Denver Broncos vs. New England Patriots.

By half-time, the advantage had been extended to 31-0 when Stewart dived in for another touchdown from one yard, before quarterback Cam Newton hit Greg Olsen for a 19-yard score.

The Cardinals got past the Green Bay Packers 26-20 at home in overtime in their Divisional Round contest on Saturday, just failing to cover the 7-point spread in that game; Arizona has turned in six UNDER results in their past seven games.

The Patriots are listed as 3.5-point road favorites over the Broncos, according to Odds Shark, while the Panthers are three-point favorites over the Cardinals.

In other words, this could offer up a Super Bowl rematch of Patriots-Panthers, but because I dislike both teams, I really hope not. Arizona had the top-ranked offense in the regular season and the fifth-ranked defense, while the Patriots had the sixth-ranked offense and the ninth-ranked defense.
