Oregon State forward Jarmal Reid was ejected late in last night’s game against Utah for intentionally tripping referee Tommy Nunez. After flipping the ball to teammate Gary Payton, Reid looked up at Nunez – a Valley resident – and stuck out his right leg and tripped Nunez as the official ran up court.
Utah closed out the game on a 7-1 run after Reid was ejected and came away with a 59-53 victory. When the referees did not call a foul on Poeltl, Reid was like, “fine, I’m going to trip this here referee”.
“I don’t know”, he said when asked his thoughts on it. “I haven’t seen it. I thought, because of the sweat on the floor, that the official slipped”.

Soon after, Duvivier picked up his second personal foul and was limited to just five minutes in the first half. Tucker soon drained a corner three to make it a three-point game with the score at 48-45. Utah endured another slow start – a familiar trend for the Utes since entering Pac-12 play.
