Quentin Tarantino confirms the rumor that all his movies are connected

“So basically when the characters of Reservoir Dogs or Pulp Fiction, when they go to the movies…” Mia describes her character in that pilot as “the deadliest woman in the world with a knife” which is exactly how Thurman’s character in “Kill Bill” could be described.

“People in “that town” want me to create a character”.

The Hateful Eight follows a band of bounty hunters who seek shelter from a harsh blizzard in the mountains of Wyoming and get involved in a heavy plot of lies and betrayal. The Tarantino difference is that there are two different universes for the characters in his numerous films.

The location doesn’t come as a complete surprise as The Sun Theatre is one of only five cinemas in Australia to show the film in high resolution 70mm.

We are guessing “The Hateful Eight“, his latest, falls into the category of movies that his characters go to see.

“We didn’t know if they were going to walk in and just say g’day, but they ended up doing a full Q and A for about 20 minutes”, Mr Smith said.

Word on the street is that Quentin Tarantino bloody loves an Aussie beer, and his froth of choice is Victoria Bitter. The only thing I can imagine that they might be planning to do is picket one of the screenings. We will say this, though: Bravo, you magnificent bastard. For that reason, it is impossible to separate the crucial small details in many scenes that not everyone can notice easily, and the visual violence, which is highly stylized and beautifully done, aesthetically speaking. One of the realistic sort, and their own movie world.

“Even though I get offered a lot of parts I don’t feel compelled to work all the time”. In fact, there are several scenes that are so smartly written, highly suspenseful, and brilliantly delivered that they seem too short, despite their unusual length. The first one, the character of Crazy Craig Koons is seen in a wanted poster of Django Unchained.

Pressed on the brutality meted out to The Hateful Eight’s sole female lead – the outlaw Daisy Domergue (played by Jennifer Jason Leigh) – the director is equally satisfied that there is nothing amiss, although some reviewers have accused him of being sexist.
