Panthers’ Allen doubtful with broken bone in foot

January 21 20:00 2016

Defensive end Jared Allen suffered a fractured foot late in the Panthers’ victory over the Seattle Seahawks this past weekend and is considered doubtful to suit up for this coming weekend’s matchup.

The 33-year-old potential future Hall of Fame-er however is likely to miss his sixth career game when the Carolina Panthers play the Arizona Cardinals in the NFC Championship Game this Sunday.

Rivera said Stewart – who got four weeks off with a foot sprain – had someone roll on his ankle in last week’s divisional round game against the Seahawks.

Since joining the Panthers via a trade deal from the Chicago Bears early in the 2015 National Football League (NFL) regular season, Allen became a huge part of the Panthers’ defense.

Rivera did not say if Thompson was disciplined by the team for his actions. If they do, the Panthers could promote former starter Wes Horton from the practice squad.

However, if Allen doesn’t play Kony Ealy would get the start against the Cardinals (14-3).

RAMS: The team has begun taking deposits for season tickets to their first season back in Los Angeles.

According to an NFL.com report, the Eagles are expected to name Frank Reich offensive coordinator. The team had to wait for the Chiefs to be eliminated from the playoffs before making it official.

Carolina surrendered a 17-point fourth quarter lead in Week 8 to Andrew Luck and the Indianapolis Colts, falling behind by a field goal in overtime before rallying to win 29-26.

Pierre-Paul had his right index finger fully amputated and lost the tip of his right thumb in a fireworks accident on July 4. The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the Jaguars have not publicly announced details of the search… The Rams said their first deposit came from Lakers great and Dodgers co-owner Magic Johnson.
