David Duchovny will get naked in ‘The X-Files’

Mulder runs headlong into danger, while ignoring Scully. Scully’s doing autopsies and calling Mulder out on being “batcrap” insane. There was just no other show like it on television at the time.

Then she tried to check something out on “the Internets” using a dusty computer and its dial-up modem.

In addition to tai chi, the “X-Files” star reportedly also hikes to tone her body.

Now there’s a new version that premieres at 9 p.m. Sunday on Fox.

Through Mulder’s voice-over monologue, he recounts how he has believed in alien conspiracies ever since his sister disappeared when they were kids.

Originally, eight episodes were planned, but the order shrank to six due to a scheduling jam-up with the stars. I said ‘Never! Never will I go to something like Comic-Con!

We chatted with Carter about the show.

The newest incarnation of the show is being billed as an “event series” by its network. And what had to happen to make it a reality? “Yes, I did have to sit down and come up with an idea for this”, he explained.

When I heard the actors wanted in, I immediately got excited. Many of them were surprisingly negative of the new season.

But what of the future beyond those fabled six episodes?

So take a look at my video review of The X-Files, which moves to its regular slot of Mondays at 8 PM on January 25, and tells us – do you still believe? I don’t think there’s enough drinking and on-this-planet historical drama to warrant his direction. And thanks largely to “The X-Files”, which spurred the geek takeover of mainstream pop culture, that landscape is cluttered with other sci-fi and fantasy options. We want to be honest with the passage of time, and honest to what would have happened in the course of their lives in the interim. We were living in the post-9-11 universe in 2002.

“We are now looking at a world that is now upside down from that period, when governments are now suspect”. Mulder is a strong believer in the supernatural while Scully is skeptic.

The dialogue between the two is one of the best parts of the show and it only gets raunchier and funnier as the series progresses until the end of the series. The FBI re-opens the X-Files. I have seen the first episode! What will subsequent episodes be like? The first and sixth episodes promise to address the series’ mythology while the other four episodes will be more stand-alone “monster of the week” episodes. And we did the first one, it did well.

“I believe that we are all interested in the supernatural, whether it be faith, or science”, Carter said. The writer also takes an interest in Scully. “That’s the opposite of why we came back”. Rhys Darby’s performance deserves to go down in X-Files history. No!’ What would I tell her? “I think our approach is artful in what it gives fans and what it will provide non-fans”.

“Put any human being in that situation, working the amount that we worked and going through the ride from obscurity to global (fame), it’s just crazy-making”, he said. We got careers together. “This is an opportunity to show people that the show has more life to it”. “He wants to know the truth”. “Can they just have DISAPPEARED?”

The only thing separating this episode from the old series is raised expectations. It seems like its separate from us, ” Anderson said. “I have not imagined their Twitter or Instagram accounts…or Snapchat accounts more likely”, Carter says about Mulder and Scully’s social media usage.
