We’re pleased to exclusively reveal that Titan Comics has acquired the rights to this moody, brutally hard Bandai Namco franchise and will be launching a Dark Souls comic book in April, just in time for Dark Souls 3. It will be dropping onto the shelves with five covers to collect including a game cover, concept cover, plus the two art covers [seen above] by Joshua Cassara and Marco Turini and a blank sketch variant. PS4, PC and Xbox One owners can now quench their lust for the game by picking up “Dark Souls II: Scholar of the First Sin”. We haven’t been given any names yet, so it’s hard to know what to expect from the series, but it’s hard to imagine many Dark Souls fans being upset about the change to dive further into the series’ lore. Rather than retell narratives from the Dark Souls games, the DS comic book will explore the stories of other characters in the universe.
“I’m “dead” excited to be working on this new series (see what I did, there)”, Mann says. The writer also claims to be a big fan of the video games, which should reassure fans who are curious about the title’s quality. With approval from creators, this new line will cover offer looks at original adventures set within the world of Dark Souls.
It is not yet known if “Dark Souls” will be an ongoing comic book series or a limited one.
Come on, I’m not the only Dark Souls player to do that sometimes. Dark Souls Issue #1 will be available on April 6.
