Coleen and Wayne Rooney unveil new Kit: brother for Kai and Klay

Wayne Rooney has shared the first picture of his new baby son Kit on Instagram.

The delighted father added the snap to Twitter today and wrote: “Meeting Kit for the first time. We are over the moon”, he wrote.

England footballer Wayne Rooney and his wife Coleen are headed the Kardashian way with children’s names, with the christian names of all three of their offspring starting with the letter K.

The couple simultaneously announced that Coleen was expecting in July with the same tweets. Little Kit has two older brothers – Kai, six, and two-year-old Klay – who will no doubt have met the newborn already.

But she said she would “love a girl because it would complete the family”.

The WAG has been teasing her social media followers over the past few months, posting outfits in both pink and blue.

The latest addition to the Rooney clan was born on Sunday, weighing 8lb 1oz.

On January 18 she tweeted: “No baby yet!!…”

“Hopefully the anticipation of the sex will make the labour go a bit quicker”.

Wayne then re-posted the message, as congratulatory messages for the pair began to pour in.

Proud mum Coleen Rooney wasted no time in introducing her new baby Kit to the world.
