Many movies, television series, actors and actresses received awards, whereas in other award shows, they barely got any recognition.

Room’s Jacob Tremblay gave an adorable acceptance speech after winning Best Young Actor/Actress speaking beyond his years as he thanked the fantastic cast and crew.

“This is super cool!” he said, standing on tiptoes to reach the microphone. Thanks to the wider breadth of categories, Mad Max: Fury Road won nine awards from critics, including Best Director, Best Action Movie and Best Actor and Actress in an Action Movie for Charlize Theron and Tom Hardy, respectively.

“I also want to thank my parents and I love them very much”. The critics also applauded the movie for its editing and production, as it took home the awards for Best Editing and Best Production Design.

And, after praising his fellow nominees, Jacob revealed his award would now take pride of place in his bedroom right next to his beloved Millennium Falcon.

Director George Miller’s action blockbuster was the big victor of the night, however, after nabbing 10 Oscar nominations.

As predicted Brie Larson picked up the award for Best Actress for her work in “Room“.

Best Actress In A Movie Made For Television Or Limited Series victor Kirsten Dunst looked classically attractive in a Karl Lagerfeld designed frock and was stunned and excited at her big win. In the comedy arena it was “Master of None” that won the top prize, while “Mr. Robot” won Best Drama Series.

Amy Schumer accepts the Critics Choice MVP award. “Carol” was not nominated for a SAG best picture award.

The 21st Critics’ Choice Awards honored achievement in TV for the first time as well. Actor Bradley James, who was on stage to present the award, helped by tilting the mic towards him. Blanchett is up for best actress; Mara for supporting actress.
