Peyton Manning to Belichick: ‘This might be my last rodeo.’

After his Broncos beat the New England Patriots in Sunday’s AFC title game, Manning and opposing head coach Bill Belichick hugged and had a quick exchange on the field that was caught by NFL Network cameras.

The NFL is conducting a comprehensive review of allegations that Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning had human growth hormone delivered to his house, according to the Associated Press.

Carolina quarterback Cam Newton is expected to be named the NFL’s MVP this season after leading the Panthers to Super Bowl 50, but in terms of jersey sales, “Superman” is a mere mortal compared to the league’s other elite signal-callers.

According to league spokesperson Brian McCarthy, the investigation has been underway for a few weeks now, as they continue to review all necessary documents and records regarding the matter.

Carolina play Denver for the Super Bowl on February 7. Manning, then with the Colts, was rehabbing from shoulder surgeries. The intern, Charlie Sly, has since backtracked on his comments, claiming he lied to reporters after he realized he was being recorded without his consent.

Manning angrily denied using performance-enhancing substances and called the report “complete garbage”.
