Gotham Season 2: Fish Mooney Set to Return

January 29 20:03 2016

What do you guys think of the news, and how do you think they’ll bring Fish back?

At the end of season one of Gotham, it seems as though Fish Mooney, a mobster climbing her way to the top of the criminal underground, met her end after falling into the water, never popping back up.

When the show returns, Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) takes a hit for Galavan’s murder, but doesn’t let Gordon (Ben McKenzie) off easily. So even though well see Jada Pinkett Smith as Fish again, that doesnt mean shell be acting the same way as she did in Season 1.

At the time, showrunner Bruno Heller said: “I would definitely not assume anything in a town like Gotham“. We saw this as someone who was not the biggest Fish Mooney fan, but part of her problem was that she felt very much like a comic-book character in a world that was trying to be more realistic (which is somewhat ironic given that Fish wasn’t in the comics). The show’s midseason cliffhanger set the stage for the arrival of mad scientist and Batman villain icon, Hugo Strange (BD Wong) who seems to be conducting Frankenstein-like undead experiments at mysterious real estate on Indian Hill.

Gotham returns to Fox on February 29.

According to a report from TV Line, also confirmed by ComicBook.com, Jada Pinkett Smith will be back for “multiple episodes” of Gotham during this year’s second season.
