Rihanna releases new album, ‘ANTI,’ on Jay Z’s Tidal service

She has released seven albums from 2005 to 2012.

The album features a collaboration with SZA on Consideration, and Rihanna’s collaboration with Drake, called Work, which started appearing online yesterday after a radio debut.

According to music site Genuis, Rihanna included Patois, a Jamaican dialect, throughout the song, using terms such as “work” (sex), “haffi” (have to) and “ah guh” (going to) in the single.

On related news, Rihanna’s world tour kicks off in California next month.

Rihanna will play 70 dates across North America and Europe this year, supported by The Weeknd, Big Sean and Travis Scott. The artwork for the album is designed by Roy Nachum.

Rihanna’s eight studio album Anti has officially been released on Tidal.

Days before she dropped the single, the entertainer posted a snapshot of herself listening to the finished album. It seems as the star’s long awaited new album, Anti is well on its way, Or is it? Announcing the news, she wrote in a series of tweets: “FIRST SINGLE #WORK ft”.

Rihanna co-owns Tidal, which has struggled to match its competitors, along with Madonna, Beyonce, Usher and other acts. Even the first single that was connected with the project – the edgy, but memorable “FourFiveSeconds” with Kanye West and Paul McCartney – was more immediate than “Work“. But it didn’t become part of the album either.

The two-month delay between the launch of the Samsung website and the album triggered speculation among fans who wondered if there were disagreements behind the scenes. Further promotion was carried out through magazines and alternate reality games.
