“Dr. Ben Carson is not suspending his presidential campaign, which is stronger than ever”, a statement sent out to reporters read.
Carson, the retired neurosurgeon running for the Republican presidential nomination, is heading to his house in Florida on Monday evening after the Iowa caucuses, his campaign said. Another tweet explained that Carson “has been on the road for 17 days” and needs those clothes.
“Well, you might have noticed that, you know, they slipped, they sort of stabilized, and now they’re starting to creep back up”.
Carson is now polling fourth in Iowa, according to Real Clear Politics’ polling averages, and eighth in New Hampshire.
Carson, who was at 8% in the final Iowa poll before the caucuses, is hardly the only candidate ducking out of the Hawkeye State on Monday. “Back on the trail by Wednesday”. Williams said that Carson’s schedule “changes on a dime”.
The Simon Conway Show hosted other Republican candidates this afternoon, including Donald Trump, Ted Cruz, Rand Paul, Marco Rubio, and Rick Santorum.
Another attendee, committed Carson supporter Peggy Studer, asked: “If not you, then who (deserves the vote)?”
He’s not planning on going to New Hampshire or SC, which will hold primaries on later this month.
