Arsenal stalwart Tomas Rosicky ‘devastated’ after latest injury setback

Wilshire has yet to kick ball in anger this season after breaking his leg during training on the eve of August’s Community Shield clash with Chelsea.

Tomas Rosicky came off the bench to make his first appearance of the season, but it was reported on Sunday that the injury-prone midfielder faces a month on the sidelines after suffering a thigh injury on his comeback.

Rosicky was undergoing a scan on Monday to determine the extent of the problem, and Wenger said he was still hoping for good news. “I observed him, he’s very conscientious Tomas, he did sprint and sprint, and sprint”. But when he told me after the game that he did it [get injured] straight away I understood why, what happened to him.

Arsenal could sanction a couple of exits with Aston Villa hunting Mathieu Debuchy and Serge Gnabry drawing interest from two Championship clubs.
