New Story Details Revealed For New Hitman Game

Follow the money! Square Enix‘s new Hitman trailer wants you to start thinking like an assassin.

The stealth assassination game’s structure is “inspired by contemporary TV series”, according to developer Io-Interactive, and can be purchased as a US$60 season or as individual episodes ($15 for the first and $10 each from there). “Welcome to a world of assassination, the setting for past, present and future Hitman games”. The story and individual missions will run parallel to each other, but as the first season continues, they will eventually merge. These missions off a self-contained story in which Agent 47 must hunt down six former members of a CICADA, a paramilitary group, in various locations around the world. Alongside the trailer, new details have been released regarding pre-order bonuses and the exclusive “Sarajevo Six” contracts coming to PS4. The 30-year veteran of various clandestine operations is involved in “questionable” activities in Europe and the Middle East. Has been since the mid-nineties, apparently.

Taking all of this into consideration, a lot of fans may have changed their mind about Hitman being one of the most anticipated video games of 2016, but only time will tell whether or not developers can deliver a solid product.

As mentioned above, a new Hitman trailer has also been made available today.

It debuts on March 11 as an episodic game with a live component.

Hitman is due to launch on March 11, but PlayStation 4 players will get the chance to go hands on with the game almost a month before then, as the beta for the game is set for February 12.
