“Edge Single Plus mode is supported in Galaxy S6 Edge M OS, Galaxy S6 Edge+ M OS and Galaxy S7 Edge M OS”, Samsung writes.
Images on a Samsung developers site, made reference to the expected-but-still-only-rumored Galaxy S7 Edge, as well as to the Galaxy S6 Edge and S6 Edge Plus, both of which launched past year.
Furthermore, the schematics show the smartphone to still come with a rear camera bump but a thinner one as compared to the Galaxy S6. It is only 160px in width and works in a text scroll function. Listed as build number N920AUCU2BPB1, on top of the UI changes, Samsung likely baked in Marshmallow’s top features, such as Doze, additional app permissions, and the user claims the phone feels more snappy overall.
While this new feature can not yet be proven outright without official word from Samsung, the evidence in its favor are damning.
The Galaxy S7 will come up with a large battery in this new model and other major feature which would combat Apple’s devices, such as the iPhone 6s and iPhone 6s plus.
The Gear 360 will also feature an internal battery – so no need for an external power source – and comes with its own onboard storage for videos and images, although we don’t know what the capacity will be.
The phone is expected to be formerly unveiled at Samsung’s “Unpacked” event on 21 February, at Mobile World Congress, Barcelona. The actual beta program in the United States was announced a few weeks back for the AT&T Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy Note 5 units as well as the Verizon Wireless Galaxy S6 Edge and Galaxy S6 Edge+ units. The additions will effectively make the S7 Edge’s corners more like the pull-down notification panels found on Android phones as well as iPhones.
Spec-wise, and at least on paper, the Samsung Galaxy S7 is very similar to the LeTV Max Pro.
Samsung declined to comment. The first two devices are expected to be the two variants of the Samsung Galaxy S7 in itself which will be coming out with Snapdragon 820 for some regions and for some regions with the Exynos based processors.
