ABC has extended its invitations to Republican candidates for the February 6 New Hampshire debate and Carly Fiorina is not among them. Moreover, Fiorina noted she’s surpassed Carson in New Hampshire polling and has more cash on hand than Kasich or Christie.
She is polling seventh in New Hampshire, according to an average maintained by Real Clear Politics, and eighth nationally – dead last among the remaining contenders on the political right.
Despite this the RNC and ABC are looking to exclude Carly in the debate.
Despite Fiorina’s struggles in the polls, a number of prominent Republicans asked ABC and the Republican National Committee to include Fiorina.
“Those who call on the RNC to change the criteria misunderstand the law”, Spicer wrote.
In the week since Republicans last debated, in Iowa, three GOP presidential candidates have shown themselves the door: Kentucky Sen. Both candidates had chosen to focus more of their campaign efforts in New Hampshire.
Despite an extensive lobbying campaign from her campaign and on her behalf, Fiorina was excluded from the lineup.
“3) Place among the top six candidates in an average of national Republican presidential polls recognized by ABC News”.
Fiorina is in danger of not appearing at Saturday’s debate after ABC announced the debate would not include an undercard stage.
With several stops around New Hampshire in the days leading up to the primary, Fiorina said she won’t stop until she earns your vote. It’s time for the RNC to demand that media executives step aside and let voters hear from all of us, ‘ she wrote.
Fiorina says its ridiculous that while she did better in Iowa than some of the other candidates on Monday night, they’ve been invited to the debate, while she has been shunned off the stage. Also, there won’t be an undercard debate that night. Rand Paul and former Sen. Rick Santorum and former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee.
