Clinton defends progressive record against Sanders critique

Sanders’ campaign says they believe errors were made in counting votes and Sanders said Tuesday, “Well, we want to look at it”.

The first additional debate will take place in New Hampshire on Thursday.

Sanders is well aware that his opponent feels a deep kinship to the state, after it revived Bill Clinton’s 1992 presidential bid and Hillary Clinton’s 2008 primary campaign against Barack Obama.

On the debates, the Sanders’ campaign, along with that of former Maryland Gov. Martin O’Malley, who dropped out after Iowa, had complained that the Democratic National Committee had scheduled only six, including some on Saturday night, when viewership is low, because its chairwoman, Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz, D-Fla., is aligned with Clinton. “While Clinton’s voter-targeting and get-out-the-vote efforts may have put her over the top in Iowa – barely – the campaign underperformed by its own expectations”.

The MSNBC debate and CNN Town Hall will be the last real chance for Hillary Clinton to cut into that impressive Bernie Sanders lead in New Hampshire.

The Texas senator has edged past of Donald Trump and a crowded GOP field.

Clinton faces an uphill struggle to compete with Sen. “Because if it’s about our records, hey, I’m going to win by a landslide”. Clinton’s first post-Iowa ad was not run in New Hampshire, but in SC. And, with double-digit leads in New Hampshire, anything short of a victory next week would be disastrous for his campaign.

Clinton has questioned Sanders’ commitment to gun control and whether his proposal to create a universal health care system might endanger Obama’s signature health care law.

“I do not know any progressive who has a super PAC and takes $15 million from Wall Street”, Sanders said, during a candidate forum sponsored by CNN. For weeks, some Clinton allies and former staffers have floated the idea of demoting campaign manager Robby Mook, the architect of the ground operation in Iowa and beyond.

State Rep. LaDawn Jones, an Atlanta Democrat who endorsed Sanders, said he can bounce back in the South by emphasizing support for policies that matter to African-American families. “I hope we keep it on the issues”. Rubio garnered the endorsement of U.S. Sen. But as much as Sanders doesn’t like the Republican’s agenda, the senator said he would delight in taking him on in November.

The two should have plenty to discuss following the close race in Iowa. “We started this campaign nationally, as you well know, 40, 50, points behind Secretary Clinton…”
