The Super Bowl 50 Halftime Show is now even more electric than it was beforehand.

By then, Coldplay, Beyonce and Mars were arm-in-arm with the orchestra behind them, singing in unison as the crowd in one part of the stadium held up cards that spelled “Believe in Love“.

In a patriotic sparkly red suit and matching red eyeshadow, the blonde beauty gave it her all as she moved some of the team player from the Denver Broncos and Carolina Panthers to tears.

The Super Bowl kicks off at 5:30 p.m. Central (6:30 p.m. Eastern), which would put halftime somewhere around 7 p.m. Central (8 p.m. Eastern).

Sunday’s halftime show will go down as one of the more mediocre performances in the annals of Super Bowl history.

It must be kept in mind that this year’s headliner is British rock band Coldplay, with front-man Chris Martin and band members Jonny Buckland, Guy Berrman, and Will Champion.

Bruno previously won widespread acclaim for his half-time performance at the 2014 Super Bowl in New Jersey. In anticipation of her halftime show performance, Queen Bey uploaded an Instagram video of herself and her background dancers rehearsing for the show, and it’s beyond epic.

Beyonce and Mars joined Coldplay frontman Chris Martin for a quick re-visit to “Uptown Funk!“, ending on Coldplay’s uplifting ballad “Fix You“, with images of past halftime performers including Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Black Eyed Peas.

The Super Bowl is the highlight of the American football calendar and attracts the biggest names in music: Whitney Houston, the Rolling Stones, Paul McCartney and Bruce Springsteen.

One of the songs they’ll surely be performing is the project’s second single “Hymn for the Weekend“, featuring Beyoncé, who will also be at the halftime festivities.

“I don’t think it would be quite right”, Martin said.
