A 26-year-old woman and her three children were stabbed inside a Staten Island hotel on Wednesday morning-reportedly by the woman’s boyfriend.
Police say 25-year-old Rebecca Cutler died at a hospital following the subsequent stabbing at a Ramada Inn on Staten Island.
Paramedics rushed the victims to Richmond University Medical Center and Staten Island University Hospital North in grave condition, officials said.
Police and emergency officials are on the scene.
He said Sykes has no criminal or psychological history that police have found.
Sykes’ mother then called police, sources said.
As of Wednesday, some 41 hotels housed more than 2,500 homeless people, including more than 600 children, de Blasio said.
The other daughter, age 2, is in critical but stable condition.
Cutler and her daughters had moved into the hotel on December 6 – but Sykes did not live with them, police said.
Sykes was not staying at the hotel and lives at a Brooklyn housing project, officials said.

Mr.de Blasio said today the city would immediately stop using the Ramada Inn and would transfer the families there elsewhere.
“We continue to pull back video and we find him going into the room at about 8:50 in the morning, he leaves about 4 minutes later and we believe that’s when the attack happens”, said Boyce.
