Milo Ventimiglia Officially Returning for Netflix’s GILMORE GIRLS Revival; Format Confirmed

February 10 20:02 2016

Details on Netflix‘s upcoming Gilmore Girls series are slowly being released, with the latest update confirming Milo Ventimiglia, Matt Czuchry, Liza Weil, and Yanic Truesdale will reprise their roles.

The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed that Milo Ventimiglia will be reprising his role as Rory’s bad-boy ex and nephew of Luke Danes, Jess Mariano.

An official premiere date for the revival has not yet been set by Netflix, but previous reports teased a 2016 release. The ABC Family dramedy lasted one season and saw Foster’s character work at a dance studio owned by Bishop’s character in a charming small town not dissimilar to the beloved Stars Hollow.

Amy Sherman-Palladino is the creator and executive producer.

She told TV Line: “Our plan is to get as many of [Rory’s] lovely men back as possible”. People are going to have so much fun with it. And we have storylines planned. Die-hard fans of the show probably don’t need a refresher, but just in case, we figured we play a little catch-up.

“But she’s dating like any young woman with that face would be”.

Series stars Lauren Graham, who played Rory’s mother, Lorelai, and Bledel announced their involvement with the revival as soon as Netflix unveiled the project.
