Man arrested in decapitation of his grandmother, her husband

He is charged with two counts of first-degree murder.

9, 2016, after police found the decapitated bodies of his grandmother, Sharon Reed, 59, and her husband, James Earl Reed, 78, in their Oklahoma City home. The grandparents operated a day care center out of their home, where the murders occurred.

The Reed’s neighbour, Hal Hartsock, said the family were dear friends and respected members of the community. “He broke all the TVs in her house and you know just really acted up”, said Jackson. Oklahoma City Police Department officials say the victims had been shot and decapitated.

Laster is the grandson of James and Sharon Reed, officials said.

Police arrived on the scene Tuesday afternoon after they received a call from a neighbor to check on the welfare of the couple. Sgt Peters said: “He has a history with us, but it’s not extensive”.

Also in September 2014, an Oklahoma City nursing home worker was arrested after he allegedly threatened to cut off a co-worker’s head, Breitbart’s Debra Heine reported.

“He was scared and nervous and confused, like he didn’t know what to do next”, Lyon told the Oklahoman, adding: “He kept saying ‘grandma, grandma, ‘ but the way he said it was so fast I didn’t understand”. He had been living with his grandparents for about two years after being asked to leave his mother’s home, relatives told investigators.

Neighbors echoed the sentiment and also said they never saw any signs of trouble at the home.
