Ben Higgins took Leah, Amanda, Becca, Jojo and Lauren B, to the island of pigs as their group date and it wasn’t certain if they had enjoyed themselves.
The Bachelor 2016 spoilers tease that Ben takes Emily home to meet his parents, and then dumps her and sends her home! All of a sudden they all realize hey, this is super awkward.
In a new extended promo for The Bachelor finale, Higgins is seen at the end of the road with two bachelorettes to choose from. She throws Lauren B under the bus by telling Ben that the frontrunner is two-faced (which, as far as we can tell from the edits, is baseless). This episode all comes down to twin Emily vs. Olivia.
However, the real drama came with all of the unexpected announcements of contestants being sent home early. Olivia shook off the accusations, and explained to Ben that she has a target on her back because the other women are jealous. But Olivia, who has gotten the most camera time, is the one who gets dumped and seemingly “left” on the island while Ben and Emily ride off into the hurricane sunset.
Amanda, the victimized mom, gets the rose.
The producers of The Bachelor and The Bachelorette have truly perfected the art of telegenic cruelty, and never is this more obvious than on the dreaded two-on-one date.
Ben talks with both girls. Here Olivia rants on about how accepting she is of herself and how in tune she is with her body. Emily has straightened her hair for the date, taking her from “Our Song” Taylor Swift to “Trouble” Taylor Swift, which we all know is a vast improvement in every way. Some contestants accused Olivia of “targeting” them, while others told Ben that she acted differently around him.
Emily gets the rose, while Olivia watches mournfully from a distance.
If the world didn’t believe in the swimming pigs of the Bahamas, they do now!
After all of the drama with Leah and Olivia, Ben decides to cancel the weekly cocktail party and go straight to the rose ceremony.
Thus, Lauren H.is eliminated and leaves us with just one Lauren left in the competition – yay! It also hints that he will bring back one of the eliminated women.
It was a long, dramatic and particularly confusing night on ABC’s The Bachelor Monday.
