Their 2011 set was later voted the Top Glastonbury Moment of the event’s long history by BBC Radio listeners.
The band were a late bet to lead the festival last year, and have remained at the front of bookies’ thoughts consistently into this year.
Titled “Cancel Coldplay’s headline slot and get a rock band“, Felicity Martin’s mission statement reads: “Coldplay are an insult to music fans all over the world”.
Coldplay will be the Sunday night headliners at this year’s Glastonbury, making Chris Martin and co. the first band ever to top the bill four times.
Given that organisers gave Kanye West a headlining slot after much protest and petitioning, we’re expecting some left-field acts to be joining Coldplay at Glastonbury come June.
Glastonbury 2016 takes place from Thursday, June 23 to Sunday, June 26.
