A WOMAN with a history of sneaking aboard aeroplanes has been arrested again at Chicago’s O’Hare International Airport.
Her device tipped off the Cook County Sheriff’s Office that she was at O’Hare.
Hartman, described by police as a habitual trespasser and stowaway, was arrested on Wednesday at the bus shuttle center outside a flight terminal at O’Hare, the spokeswoman said.
NBC Chicago advised that Marilyn Hartman will be facing charges of felony probation violation and misdemeanor criminal trespass. CNN has not yet been able to contact Hartman and it is not clear if she has an attorney for this case.
In granting her conditional release, Raines warned Hartman that “a lot of time and energy” had been spent on making sure she got the help she needed, and he advised her to follow the court’s instructions.
The retired legal secretary was arrested at least four times previous year at two different Chicago airports, for loitering near security checkpoints, trespassing and in one case causing a disturbance on an airplane after she boarded with a valid ticket.
She pleaded no contest to the charges against her and was sentenced to probation. Her ankle bracelet gave her away and alerted authorities.
She has said that homelessness has driven her to take “desperate measures”.
Police said Hartman actually walked up to an officer at Midway last Friday and introduced herself, declaring, “Do you know who I am? It was stupid and it is something I don’t want to repeat”. She was charged with reckless conduct, a misdemeanor, and released.
