Angry Pellegrini says he would NOT pay to watch FA Cup clash

“I think it’s not a real game, of course; not enough to pay the ticket”, The Daily Mail quote him as saying. Diego Costa, Oscar and Hazard will take the game to Manchester City on Sunday and I expect a reaction from Chelsea following their midweek defeat.

“But I hope that when we face Chelsea [in the FA Cup on Sunday] we’re going to correct the mistakes we’ve been making”.

“The people who are not responsible for having to prepare every week’s game, who have the longer vision of the needs of the club, they are in charge to do so”.

When asked about the gap between Chelsea and other European clubs, Hiddink said, “You see the potential of those clubs, it’s huge. The FA Cup is a very important competition and if you can’t do well in it you must be disappointed, but you also have to be intelligent and make the best decision for the team”.

“If you enjoy it, and you feel a bit natural, then I think the performance is unconditioned”, Hiddink said.

Chelsea now sits 12th in the Premier League and was defeated 2-1 by PSG in the first leg of the Champions League.

“And both of them we won really well, 3-0 and 4-0”.

“The priority is always the next game, but we must make an exception because of many injuries” said Pellegrini.

“They came out of a very hard situation in the last half year, we can not deny that”, Hiddink added.

“But there are some moments when you simply have to prioritise because you don’t receive any help and you could damage your prospects”.

Despite their recent title setbacks, Pellegrini remained confident in City’s chances of winning the Premier League, but also warned his side to learn from their mistakes. “The team we are going to play against Chelsea will give young players a chance”.

“I don’t know how it can change”. One player, you have to embrace.

“We are very interested in continuing in this Cup”, he said. They had just one chance – their second goal.

Indeed, it’s been a hard spell for Arsenal in the past decade as they battled crippling financial restrictions after moving to the Emirates Stadium but the future looks bright, with a talented squad and successive honours in the FA Cup. “Maybe it’s not so big if we could play on the Saturday, but because we play on Sunday it’s a major problem”.

Chelsea’s senior players, though, are performing better now than they did under Jose Mourinho at the start of the season.
