Starting looking for tonight’s new episode at Amazon after The Talking Dead after show concludes. At the end of the episode it seems that Rick and Michonne will finally hook up! The Walking Dead, after all, is a show that pushes the limits on violence and gore. I was surprised reaction to last week’s “No Way Out” proved so divisive as it did, but there’s no denying its particular visual flair and an overall sense of catharsis, carried into this week by the introduction of a fan-favorite like Jesus. But, a new character did on Episode 6.10 “The Next World” – Paul, aka Jesus, who is a character from the comics. He was first introduced in comic issue #91. Jessie’s (Alexandra Breckenridge) death last week has made this hook up possible.
This Sunday’s episode of “The Walking Dead” marks the long-awaited reunion of Daryl (Norman Reedus) and Rick (Andrew Lincoln), who have basically been separated from one another since the season 6 premiere.
Unlike other people Rick and his crew have come into contact out in the open, Paul isn’t a big threat to the group, but he shouldn’t be underestimated. Hell, the town is practically upbeat now, and it’s refreshing as all get-out. But Jesus’ character in the comic book is openly gay, which probably won’t play well for religious types. Turns out, the walker is Deanna (Tovah Feldshuh), and Carl will lead her to Spencer (Austin Nichols) so he can kill be the one to kill his mom. But by putting a little distance between the Alexandria massacre and this act of killing, we got a nice, emotional storyline for Carl, Michonne, and, most importantly, Spencer. It doesn’t make sense.
But in all seriousness, many fans likely stopped (or didn’t) themselves from shouting “FINALLY” at the TV as Rick and Michonne once and for all leaned in for the kiss.
Like, five minutes it’s been, guys. I said this last week, but I’m really glad that our heroes are starting to catch a few breaks. Fans should be on the lookout for that moment when Jesus shows up in Rick’s bedroom, telling him that they both need to talk.
We’ve already reported on the upcoming release of the newest addition to Telltale Games’ award-winning video game series based on The Walking Dead.
Maggie’s around, if Enid ever wants to talk. So, if you haven’t watched the preview yet, you can check it out in the video below. Just look at Michonne’s face, cutting walkers down to make a path to the infirmary, as if she were the boy’s mother – she pretty much is, honestly.
Secondly, it wasn’t Rick or Daryl who first discovered Jesus (Daryl doesn’t exist in the comics, anyway). It was gruesome, traumatic stuff-the kind you’d think would leave a mark on the psyche of even a veteran apocalypse survivor like Rick. Maybe even what was left of Aiden?
