Jennifer Aniston cries during director tribute

Perry appeared in a taped message ahead of the cast walking onstage hand in hand, explaining why he couldn’t make the reunion.

An All-Star Tribute to James Burrows featured tributes from Jim Parsons, Simon Helberg, Kayley Cuoco and Johnny Galecki from The Big Bang Theory, Eric McCormack, Sean Hayes and Megan Mullally from Will & Grace and nearly all of the cast of Friends.

Jennifer also spoke about her chemistry with fellow cast members Courteney, David, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and Matthew Perry – who was absent from the reunion.

Cox revealed she, Lisa and Jennifer enjoyed the same lunch every day.

The host, Andy Cohen, never followed up, so we’ll always be left wondering. “I was not asked to sign anything”, Kudrow said with a laugh.

The celebration was honoring Burrows’ legendary career in television, and other participating sitcoms included “Cheers”, “Frasier“, “Will & Grace”, “Taxi” and “Mike & Molly”.

But instead of having her friend’s back, Jennifer Aniston apparently stayed neutral as she and husband Justin Theroux have also grown fond of McDaid when the four of them used to hang out.

The newlywed gushed with praise for her ex boss and said the actors in the American TV show, which ran for 10 series, owed their success to him because he taught them “everything we know” about comedy.

The 47 year old was joined by her co stars Matt LeBlanc, Courteney Cox, David Schwimmer, and Lisa Kudrow. The show was filmed in LA and for the first year they all watched the weekly episode together at each other’s apartments. “I had to come in and audition for Jimmy” she revealed, although the others did not have to do the same thing. For example, in “The One with George Stephanopoulos”, it was James Burrows suggestion that Joey play with the hockey puck that had struck Ross in the face to the latter’s annoyance.

As for their favorite episodes or moments, Jen loved filming the flashbacks with “Fat Monica”, a pre-nose job Rachel and Ross’s ridiculous hair.
